Canal Zone CO4 RARE MINT Stamp F over 2nd A Variety Position 50 (Stk# CO4FA)

  

Condition: Fresh, OG, hinge remnant, small natural gum skips; tiny perf thin and corner perf crease with tiny gum soak at upper right (see scan for details)... Incredibly scarece'F' over 2nd'A' variety (Pos 50, some sheets) on a mint stamp..

The'F over A' variety is much more scarce and should command a price commensurate with it's scarcity... See the Salz realization below.. 30c Lake red, 19mm overprint, "O" over the "N" variety, a seldom seen mint single, rich color, o. Never hinged, diagonal gum bend, very fine; while used c. Example of this variety can be found with regularity, mint copies are quite elusive (CZSG #CO5.2a).
